Condolence & Memory Journal

I met Mary when I first moved to Maryville in 1994. Worked with her at Proffitt's Will always remember her big smile every morning and how we always found something to laugh about everyday, even if work was hard. Hate that I didn't see she had passed away a few weeks ago until now so I could come pay my respects to her family. Was just thinking about her this morning for some reason and looked her up on the internet. I know she is in heaven still finding something to laugh about everyday!

My heart Goes out to family

Posted by Dorothy Rodriquez (Dottie) - Knoxville, TN - friend   July 17, 2015

Mary was my go-to-friend, my sweet Southern talker, best judge in Bible drill history, and wonderful example of a believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I will miss her smile, voice, hugs, patience, and conspirator-y secrets! But every day since she left us, I have rejoiced as I have thought of her in Heaven with Jesus! Mary was one-in-a-million and I was blessed to call her friend! Our loss is Heaven's gain. In time, however long the Lord has set, we will be reunited with Mary and I know that day will be an awesome day!

I moved to Maryville and gained dear Mary as a sister of faith and friend of the heart. She brought many friends into my life over these 24 years including Max, Barbara and family and Ray to name a few. Now, they especially, but we all will struggle to fill the void that is a gaping hole in our lives. Her anguish is gone for there is no anguish in heaven so our anguish is now an expression of our deep love for one who so sweetly filled our lives. With her sweet self she made us all feel like we were the most important person in her world and when we came away we were better than when we arrived. With many prayers said and for those to come may they serve to remind us that one day we to will be where she is now: at the feet of Jesus with our eyes wide and a smile of victory. Will miss seeing you dear Mary!

We laughed together and cried together. We shared thoughts that only the two of us knew. We shared great times in our singles class. I was there when you met Ray. You now have your wings. I will treasure your friendship. I pray that Ray and your family find peace in knowing there is no more pain.
