Jay W Reynolds passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 18, 2015. Born in Peckville, PA in 1927 he was the son of Daniel Reynolds and Marion Evans Reynolds. A quiet and unassuming man, he was a boyscout leader for many years and as a member of the Methodist church, he sang in church choirs in Oak Ridge, Oliver Springs and Maryville. After his retirement from X-10, he spent his days reading, walking the Green Belt in Maryville, watching grandchildren in sporting events, building wooden sailing ship models and going on numerous mission trips. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joanne Reynolds and two sons, Anthony and Richard Reynolds, he is survived by three sons, Michael Reynolds, Eric Reynolds and Randall Reynolds, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Receiving of friends will be held at Smith Trinity Chapel (1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN) on Saturday, August 8th from 11:00 to 12:00 with a memorial service at 12:00.
