I happened upon this page today, and even though it's been a few months, I wanted to write anyway.
I could never say enough wonderful things about Deloris--she was in many ways, my "other" mother. She was the most loving, caring and genuinely kind person I think I've ever met and she definitely passed those characteristics on to her children. I am so blessed to be part of her family and to have had so many years to spend holidays

I could never say enough wonderful things about Deloris--she was in many ways, my "other" mother. She was the most loving, caring and genuinely kind person I think I've ever met and she definitely passed those characteristics on to her children. I am so blessed to be part of her family and to have had so many years to spend holidays and birthdays and just "whatever" days with her. I miss her terribly--her presence would light up any room--she always found something to smile about and be happy for...and she always had a kind word for others. I remember several times I would just stop by while I was out doing errands or something or William would bring me by unexpectedly and she always told me I was as "welcome as the sunshine". I never knew how much that would mean to me until I didn't hear it anymore. She made any day brighter just by being a part of it. I'm sure she is singing and talking and laughing and just living it up now with the Angels in Heaven. (And I bet she's teaching them how to play rummy!) Her memories will live on in all of us who were blessed enough to know her.

DELORIS WAS A VERY LOVING AND CARING PERSON. SHE WAS ALWAYS THE FIRST ONE TO HELLP OUT IN ANY SITUATION AND SHE NEVER LIKED TAKING ANYTHING IN RETURN. I USEDTO SEND HER FLOWERS FROM THE "PHANTHON"BECAUSE SHE WOULD NOT KNOW WHO THEY CAME FROM AND SHE COULD'' T RETURN THEM. SHE WAS LIKE OUR MOM, BECAUSE SHE ALWAYS GAVE TO EVERYONE ELSE AND DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING IN RETURN. SHE WAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL SISTER, AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.V8KGx

She touched so many people with her tender heart... She will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Bill, Susie and boys, Deloris was a wonderful loving and caring lady, she will be greatly missed by all. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you, if you ever need anything please call or come by and see me.

After church, this wonderful family allowed me to go to their home. Deloris was the sweetest person. She was so beautiful inside and out. My heart goes out to the family. Sending prayers for comfort and strength.

We have alot of wonderful memories of Deloris. One that will never be forgotten, how she took care of MawBelle during the day while we worked, during her illness, will always remember our "talks" at the family gatherings. Loved listening to her tell me stories when Rick was younger! Such a precious lady. The Lord did truly bless us with her friendship. Her rewards in heaven will be many! The love she had for others was truly a gift. May

I know first hand the love that Miss Delores had for her brother Chester and his daughter Rachel. She was a wonderful person and loving aunt to Rachel.
